As part of an effort to provide affordable and accessible continuing education (CE) for insurance producers, the Kansas Department of Insurance and the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents (KAIA) have partnered to provide a free CE series focused on the different functions of the Department.

This “Know Your Regulator” CE series will feature Department staff members presenting on topics specific to various divisions within the Department. Each session will provide a free, one-hour CE credit for producers.

Excess & Surplus Lines

Join Deb Dalton, Public Service Administrator, and Monicka Richmeier, Director of Licensing, from the Kansas Department of Insurance for an informative overview of excess and surplus lines insurance. This session will cover the fundamentals of surplus lines, producer responsibilities, and key regulatory requirements. Attendees will also receive a walkthrough of the new SLIP+ system, including how it works, recent updates, and answers to frequently asked questions to help simplify the filing process and ensure compliance.
